Persimmon
Sharon fruit is the marketing name for the Israeli-bred cultivar ‘Triumph’.
The sharon fruit has no core, is seedless and particularly sweet.

The Sharon Fruit is a fairly new fruit on the American market from the Sharon region of Israel. Although bred from and resembling the common persimmon, all similarities end (not ends) there.

What does a Sharon fruit taste like?

Sharon fruits have a sweet, sugary flavor suited for fresh or cooked preparations. The fruits can be consumed straight out of hand and are versatile as they are edible when firm and dense or soft and squishy.
Shelf life

The Sharon is a hardy fruit and may be refrigerated for up to 14 days.
It is hand-picked off the tree and transported in climate-controlled containers. While brown spots may appear both on the surface and inside the fruit, these are only collections of sugar crystals and mean that the fruit is at its sweetest.
